Date night fell on the day the country celebrated Independence Day. Naturally our date was to watch the fireworks display in our hometown.

We had fun being together out in the night air. I love Shaun.

We don't "hang out"!

During the summer of 2006, we were both back living in our hometown. When we "met up again" at institute (a weekly religious class), Shaun told me, "We should hang out sometime." Teasing him with the Apostle, Elder Oaks', council that young adults should avoid hanging out I replied, "You mean, go on a date?" A few weeks after that Shaun took me on our first date to a Loan Star concert at the County Fair. He is so good at "goin' courtin'" We fell in love that night and have been dating ever since! -Emily
